The Directorate of Higher Education has received information about the vacant posts from various colleges, and this data is being uploaded to the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission's portal.

According to officials, the recruitment process will proceed once the final data is verified. This recruitment is anticipated to be one of the largest assistant professor hiring events in recent years.

A Major Employment Opportunity Across 330 Colleges

Over 1,600 assistant professor positions have been identified as vacant across 330 privately aided colleges in the state. Initially, this number was reported to be around 1,150, but it has increased following recent updates on additional vacancies. The Directorate of Higher Education has begun uploading the details of these positions to the commission's portal to expedite the recruitment process.

A Bigger Chance Compared to Previous Recruitment Cycles

In 2022, advertisements were released for 1,017 assistant professor positions. Several stages of that recruitment process have already been completed. The current number of new vacancies is significantly higher than before, benefiting candidates who have been waiting for teaching positions in higher education institutions.

Potential Increase in Principal and Other Teaching Positions

The Directorate of Higher Education has also submitted a request for 111 vacancies for principal positions to the commission's portal. Many colleges have yet to provide complete details of their vacant posts. Verification reports have been requested from regional officials, suggesting that the number of vacancies may increase further.

New Job Opportunities in Model Schools

The establishment of Chief Minister Model Composite Schools is progressing rapidly in the state. A total of 150 schools are proposed, with construction already underway for many. Teachers will be appointed in these schools, which will feature modern facilities.
