Eligibility Criteria for Railway Apprentices 2026
- Candidates must have completed their 10th grade or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board. For Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology/Pathology/Cardiology), candidates should have passed 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, also with 50% marks.
- For the Ex-ITI category, candidates should have completed their 10th grade and possess an ITI qualification in the relevant trade.
- For the Secretarial Assistant and Stenographer (English) positions, candidates must have passed 12th grade along with an ITI qualification.
- The age of candidates should be a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 22/24 years. Age relaxation of 3 to 15 years will be applicable as per regulations.
Stipend Details
During the apprenticeship training, candidates will receive a stipend, which varies based on their category as freshers or ITI holders.
- 10th pass freshers: ₹8,200 per month
- 12th pass freshers: ₹9,600 per month
- Ex-ITI candidates: ₹9,600 per month
Selection Process Based on Merit
Candidates will be selected based on merit without any written examination. For freshers, the merit list will be compiled from their 10th and ITI scores. For MLT positions, marks from Higher Secondary Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Biology will be considered. The last date to apply is September 27, 2026.
