Entrance Examination Schedule for CM Shri Schools



The CM Shri Schools in Delhi have announced their entrance examination dates for the 2026-27 academic year. Students seeking admission to Classes 6 and 9 will take their exams on April 13, while those applying for Class 11 will sit for their exam on May 7. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website. According to a notice from the Education Department, preliminary exams for Classes 6 and 9 were held in the last week of March, with the main exams concluding on April 13. The results for Classes 6 and 9 are expected to be released on April 30, while Class 11 results will be available on May 25.


Eligibility Criteria for Admission

A circular from the Education Department specifies that only Delhi residents who attended a recognized school in the National Capital during the 2025-26 academic year can apply for admission. The department has reserved 50% of the seats for students who completed Classes 5, 8, and 10 in Delhi Government schools. The remaining seats will be available to other eligible candidates who meet the residency and educational requirements.


Format of the Entrance Examination

The entrance exams will consist of objective-type questions and will utilize OMR sheets. Detailed syllabi and sample OMR sheets will be accessible on the department's website to help candidates prepare. The Class 6 question paper will be bilingual, while the papers for Classes 9 and 11 will be in English. Notably, there will be no negative marking for Class 6, but negative marking will apply to Classes 9 and 11. The Class 6 exam will be scored out of 300 marks, whereas the exams for Classes 9 and 11 will each be out of 400 marks.

CM Shri Schools are a Delhi Government initiative designed to offer modern facilities, an updated curriculum, and comprehensive learning experiences. This program aims to bolster public education and improve both academic and extracurricular opportunities for students. On February 17, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated this initiative in 75 government schools across the city, including the launch of a CM Shri School in Sarojini Nagar.
