DSSSB Announces Assistant Teacher Recruitment



The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has unveiled an opportunity for aspiring educators by announcing the recruitment of 1,180 Assistant Teacher roles in primary schools across Delhi. Interested candidates can submit their applications online at dsssb.delhi.gov.in.


This recruitment drive is a significant chance for young individuals aiming to secure government teaching positions in the capital. The application process is entirely online, and candidates can access the official DSSSB website for more details.


The total number of vacancies stands at 1,180, with 1,055 positions allocated to the Directorate of Education and 125 to the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC).


Candidates wishing to apply must have completed their 12th grade with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized educational institution. Additionally, a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is required, along with a valid CTET certificate, as those without it will not be eligible.


The upper age limit for applicants is set at 30 years. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, women, and persons with disabilities will enjoy exemptions from this age restriction in accordance with government policies.


For the application process, general category candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹100, while women, SC, ST, and disabled applicants are exempt from any fees. Selection will be determined based on merit, with a final list of successful candidates published following the written examination and document verification.


Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary, with the pay scale for the Assistant Teacher role ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month, in line with the 7th Pay Commission guidelines.
