DSSSB Teacher Recruitment Overview

DSSSB PRT Vacancy: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has officially published the recruitment notification for teachers for the year 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill 1180 Assistant Teacher positions. Interested candidates can submit their applications online from September 17, 2025, to October 16, 2025, through the official website dsssb.delhi.gov.in.

All pertinent details regarding the examination date, number of vacancies, educational requirements, age criteria, application procedure, and exam format are included in the notification. Candidates are advised to thoroughly review this notification prior to applying.

Educational Qualifications Required

To qualify, candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and possess a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from a recognized institution.

Alternatively, candidates can qualify with:

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) as per NCTE regulations.

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks and a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from a recognized board.

A Graduation degree along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from a recognized institution.

Additionally, candidates must have successfully completed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) administered by CBSE.

It is essential that candidates have passed one of the subjects: Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, or English at the Secondary Level. Note that candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH) will receive a 5% relaxation in academic marks.

Relaxation in qualifications may be granted at the discretion of DSSSB, provided that valid reasons are documented and the candidate meets all other qualifications.

Those lacking the essential qualifications specified in the Recruitment Rules should refrain from applying.

Age Limit and Salary Details

As per the guidelines, the maximum age limit for the Primary Teacher position is set at 30 years. Candidates from reserved categories will receive upper age relaxation in accordance with existing regulations.

Primary Teacher Salary:
Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400/- (Pay Level – 6)

In accordance with Services O.M. No. F.19(11)/2015/S-IV/1751-1756 dated 11.06.2019, Contract/Guest Teachers from the Directorate of Education who have not previously availed of age relaxation will be granted a one-time upper age relaxation.
