Many individuals aspire to join this prestigious organization. If you are one of them, there's great news: DRDO is currently seeking applications for 33 scientist roles. Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the DRDO Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) portal at rac.gov.in. The application window closes at 4:00 PM on June 19, 2026.

Among the 33 available positions, 20 are designated for Scientist C, 11 for Scientist D, and 2 for Scientist E. Applicants for the Scientist C role must have a relevant engineering degree and at least three years of experience, with an age limit of 35 years. Those selected will receive a monthly salary starting at ₹67,700, as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

Eligibility Requirements

For the Scientist D role, candidates need a minimum of 7 years of experience and an engineering degree in the relevant field, with a maximum age limit of 45 years. The basic monthly salary for this position is ₹78,800. Candidates applying for Scientist E must have at least 11 years of experience and an engineering degree, also with a 45-year age limit, and will earn a monthly salary of ₹1,23,100.

What about the application fee? Male candidates from General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay ₹100, while SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates are exempt from this fee.

Selection Process Overview

1. Administrative Scrutiny: Verification of essential documents.

2. Technical Screening Level I: Bio-data-based technical evaluation (Level-1) focusing on experience and qualifications.

3. Technical Screening Level II: A brief online interview lasting 10–15 minutes.
