Delhi Government Shifts to Full Physical Classes for Grades 6-9 and 11
Delhi Schools Transition to In-Person Learning
Delhi Schools Update: In response to improved air quality and the lifting of GRAP 4 restrictions, the Delhi government has made a significant change regarding school operations. Classes for students in grades 6 through 9 and 11 will now be conducted entirely in-person, marking the end of hybrid learning for these grades. This decision aims to enhance the educational experience for students as they return to physical classrooms.
The Directorate of Education in Delhi has issued a directive mandating all government, government-aided, and recognized private schools under the NDMC, MCD, and Delhi Cantonment Board to resume physical classes immediately. This change will affect thousands of students throughout the capital.
Grades 5 and Below to Continue Hybrid Learning
As per the Directorate's announcement, while grades 6 to 9 and 11 will transition to full physical classes, students in grades 5 and below will still attend classes in a hybrid format. Additionally, grades 10 and 12 will maintain their current offline learning structure. Dr. Rita Sharma, Additional Director of Education (Schools), emphasized in a circular that school administrators must ensure prompt compliance with these new guidelines and communicate the changes to parents and guardians swiftly.
Monitoring Compliance in Schools
District and Zonal Education Officers have been instructed to monitor the implementation of these directives closely. The Directorate of Education has stressed the importance of adherence to these rules to avoid any disruptions in the educational process. Furthermore, the winter break for Delhi schools is scheduled from January 1st to January 15th.
