Delhi FSL Recruitment 2026: The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) under the Delhi Government's Home Department has announced job openings for the year 2026. A total of 45 vacancies are available for the roles of Junior Scientific Officer and Junior Scientific Assistant on a contractual basis. Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications either in person or via registered/speed post to the Head of the FSL office in Rohini by 5:00 PM on January 15, 2026.


Eligibility Criteria

Who is eligible to apply?


For the Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology) role, applicants must possess a postgraduate degree in Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, or Forensic Science. Candidates with a BE or B. Tech in Biotechnology are also eligible. Importantly, no prior experience is necessary, making this position suitable for fresh graduates.


For the Junior Scientific Officer role, candidates need a postgraduate degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Physics, or Biology, along with a minimum of 3 years of research or investigative experience in the respective area, which is mandatory for this position.


Selection Process

How will candidates be selected?


The selection process for the Delhi FSL Recruitment 2026 will adhere to a structured approach. Initially, applications will be reviewed to verify educational qualifications and required documents. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience.


Shortlisted individuals will be invited for a personal interview at the FSL office in Rohini, where original documents will be verified. The final selection will depend on the candidate's medical fitness.


Interview Schedule

When will the interviews take place?


The walk-in interviews for the Delhi FSL Recruitment 2026 will occur at the FSL office in Rohini, Delhi. Candidates are required to arrive by 9:30 AM on their designated interview date. Interviews for the Chemistry, Biology, and Cyber Forensics departments for Junior Scientific Assistants (JSA) and the Chemistry and Biology departments for Junior Scientific Officers (JSO) will be conducted on January 28, 2026. Interviews for the Ballistics and Physics departments for both JSA and JSO will take place on January 29, 2026.


Salary Information

What are the salary details?


Selected Junior Scientific Assistants (JSA) will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹42,632. Junior Scientific Officers (JSO) will be compensated according to existing contractual regulations, which were previously around ₹68,697 per month.
