Chhattisgarh Assistant Teacher Recruitment Notification

The Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB) has released a notification regarding the recruitment of Assistant Teachers. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website. The application window opened on July 24, and a total of 2,292 positions are available. The last date to apply is August 21, 2026, with a correction window for applications from August 22 to August 24.

**Exam Schedule**

The examination for the Assistant Teacher roles is scheduled for October 11, 2026. It will take place in a single session from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM across 16 districts in the state. The test will feature 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), totaling 100 marks, with a duration of two hours. Note that there will be a penalty of one-fourth of a mark for each incorrect answer.

Other Backward Classes (OBC): ₹250

**Eligibility Criteria**

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not older than 35 years. Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for candidates from reserved categories, including SC, ST, and OBC.

**Educational Requirements**

Candidates should have completed Class 12 from a recognized institution in India with a minimum of 45% or 50% marks. Additionally, a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree is required.
