Chhattisgarh Teacher Recruitment Update

Gajendra Yadav, the Education Minister of Chhattisgarh, has provided important updates regarding the recruitment of teachers in the state. He confirmed that Vyapam is in the final stages of preparation, and the recruitment will adhere to the timeline set by the department. Currently, there is a demand for 5,000 teachers in the Swami Atmanand schools across Chhattisgarh.

A private agency will oversee the examination process. Candidates will take the test in the afternoon, with results announced by evening, ensuring transparency and minimizing the risk of irregularities. The Minister assured that the recruitment would be finalized by the first week of July.

Learning from Previous Recruitment Issues

Yadav acknowledged that although recruitment efforts began last year, the process was not completed even after the exam results were released in March. Complaints of mismanagement surfaced from various regions, leading to mutual accusations. To address these issues, the government has opted for a centralized examination approach.

Plans for 10,000 Teaching Positions

The Minister outlined the recruitment phases, stating that the first step will involve hiring 5,000 contractual teachers for Swami Atmanand schools, followed by the recruitment of an additional 5,000 assistant teachers. This initiative will fill a total of 10,000 positions within the Education Department. He reassured the youth that the government is committed to fulfilling its promises.

Response to Opposition Claims

In response to criticism from the opposition, Yadav accused the Congress party of disseminating misinformation. He emphasized that his government has appointed over 20,000 individuals in various departments over the past two and a half years, with recruitment exams being held every Sunday for different positions.

Additionally, the Education Minister addressed concerns regarding school reopenings amid the extreme heat. He announced that the new academic session is set to commence in July, and if the heat persists, the holiday period may be extended for students' comfort. If conditions do not improve within the week, the planned reopening on June 16 may be postponed.
