CBSE Re-Evaluation Process: Over 40,000 Students Apply Amid Payment Concerns
Overview of CBSE Re-Evaluation Applications
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is currently processing applications for re-evaluation. As of 10:00 PM on May 2, over 28,000 students had submitted their applications. By 9:30 AM on May 3, this number had risen to around 40,000, with students reporting no significant issues during the application process. However, concerns have emerged regarding the payment system for re-evaluation.
Concerns Raised Over Payment Gateway
Critics have expressed dissatisfaction with the limited payment options available, specifically questioning why only four banks—SBI, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, and Indian Bank—are accepted for transactions. This raises concerns for students and parents who do not have accounts with these banks, potentially hindering their ability to apply for re-evaluation.
Response from CBSE
In response to these concerns, CBSE clarified that while the payment gateways for the aforementioned banks are available, it is not necessary for students to have accounts with them. Students can utilize various online payment methods, including UPI, Net Banking, and Credit/Debit Cards, through these gateways.
CBSE's Advice to Students
The Board has urged students to disregard any misleading information circulating on unofficial platforms. They emphasized the importance of relying on official CBSE communications for accurate updates regarding the re-evaluation process. Students are also encouraged to complete their applications before the deadline and to double-check all entered information to prevent any errors.
