CBSE Introduces New Result Preparation Method for Gulf Students Amid Exam Cancellations

In response to the cancellation of Class 12 Board examinations in Gulf countries, CBSE has launched a new method for result preparation. New Result Preparation Method for Gulf Students



The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has adopted an innovative approach to compile results for students residing in Gulf nations, eliminating the need for traditional examinations. This decision comes in light of challenging circumstances in various West Asian countries, leading to the cancellation of Class 12 Board exams.


To prevent disruption of the academic year, the Board has established a specialized online platform for schools. This portal allows educational institutions to submit their students' marks following a specific protocol, with access restricted solely to the respective schools.


Schools must upload the marks for all students between April 8 and April 17, 2026, ensuring a smooth and timely result preparation process.


CBSE has emphasized that once the marks are submitted, no changes can be made, urging schools to be meticulous when entering data.


Results will be based on internal assessments, which include scores from quarterly, half-yearly, and pre-board exams, along with other tests conducted earlier.


For subjects where exams were not feasible, evaluations will rely on the records maintained by the schools, ensuring fairness for all students.


The Board has instructed schools to carry out evaluations transparently and equitably, guaranteeing that every student receives a just result.
