Canara Bank has issued a notification for the recruitment of 3,500 Graduate Apprentices for the financial year 2026-27. Selected candidates will undergo a one-year training program, receiving a monthly stipend of ₹16,650. The online application process is set to begin on October 1, 2026, with vacancies available across various states in India. Applicants must register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and ensure their profiles are fully completed. Applications will only be accepted online.

Karnataka has the highest number of vacancies at 581, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 409, Tamil Nadu with 391, and Andhra Pradesh with 247. Other states with significant allocations include Kerala (240), Maharashtra (205), West Bengal (150), Telangana (134), Bihar (122), Haryana (114), Madhya Pradesh (110), and Odisha (104).


Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India, with their degree completed between January 1, 2023, and September 1, 2026. General, OBC, and EWS candidates must have a minimum of 60% in their Class 12 or diploma exams, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates need at least 55%. Marks cannot be rounded off for eligibility.


Age criteria stipulate that candidates must be between 20 and 28 years old as of September 1, 2026, meaning they should be born between September 2, 1998, and September 1, 2006. Age relaxation applies for reserved categories: five years for SC/ST, three years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and ten years for PwD candidates.


Selection Process

Selection will be based on a merit list created from Class 12 or diploma examination scores. In case of a tie, older candidates will be prioritized. Those on the merit list will undergo document verification, a local language test, and a medical examination, with proficiency in the local language being mandatory.


Application Fee Details

The application fee is ₹500, but candidates from SC, ST, and PwD categories are exempt. Other applicants can pay via debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS, or mobile wallet.


Application Process

To apply, candidates should first register on the NATS portal and complete their profile, noting their enrollment ID. Then, they must visit the official Canara Bank website, navigate to the 'Recruitment' or 'Careers' section, and find the 'Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026' link. The application form should be filled out with the enrollment ID and other required details, including state preference and necessary documents, photograph, and signature. After submitting the form and paying the fee, candidates should download and save the application form and payment receipt for future reference. Note that those who have completed apprenticeship training, are currently in training, or have more than one year of post-graduation work experience are not eligible.
