BSF Head Constable Recruitment 2025: The Border Security Force (BSF) has officially opened the application process for the Head Constable positions starting today, August 24. Interested applicants can submit their applications until September 23 by visiting the BSF's official recruitment website. A total of 1121 vacancies have been announced.


The available positions include 910 for Head Constable Radio Operator and 211 for Head Constable Radio Mechanic. These roles are classified under Group 'C', non-gazetted, non-ministerial combat positions. The application window will commence at 11:00 PM today and will close at 11:59 PM on September 23. Eligibility Criteria for BSF Head Constable Positions

Qualifications Required:


To qualify for the Head Constable Radio Operator role, candidates must have completed their 12th grade in the Science stream with a minimum of 60% marks. Alternatively, those who have passed the 10th grade and possess a two-year ITI certificate in relevant fields such as Radio and Television, Electronics, Computer Operations, General Electronics, Data Preparation, or Data Entry can also apply. For the Head Constable Radio Mechanic position, candidates should have either completed their 12th grade in Science with 60% marks or have an ITI qualification in the relevant trade along with a 10th-grade pass. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 25 years, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories.

Selection Process for BSF Head Constable Roles

How Candidates Will Be Selected:


The selection of candidates for these positions will involve a Physical Standard Test (PST), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Only those who successfully pass the PST and PET will be eligible to take the examination. Selected candidates for the Head Constable (RO/RM) roles will receive a salary ranging from Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100, in accordance with Pay Level-4 as per the Seventh Central Pay Commission.
