Qualifications Required

**State Code A and B:** Candidates must have a diploma in Chemical Engineering or Chemical Technology, along with at least one year of relevant work experience or apprenticeship.


**State Code C:** A diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with one year of relevant experience or apprenticeship.


**State Code D:** Candidates should possess a diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or Electrical Engineering (Industrial Control), along with one year of relevant experience or apprenticeship.


Age Criteria

The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 25 years as of July 1, 2026. Candidates from the Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) will receive a 3-year relaxation in the upper age limit.


Selection Process

Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT)


Candidates must first take a computer-based test consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 mark. The exam lasts 120 minutes, and there is no negative marking. The question paper includes 60 marks for subject-specific content and 40 marks for English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, and Current Affairs.


Stage 2: Skill Test and Medical Examination


Those who meet the cut-off in the CBT will be invited for a Skill/Proficiency Test, which is qualifying. Selected candidates will then undergo a pre-employment medical examination, with final appointments contingent on meeting BPCL's medical standards.


Salary Details

Selected candidates will be placed in the NG-2 grade, with a starting basic salary of ₹26,500 per month, within a pay scale of ₹26,500 to ₹34,000. Additional allowances and benefits will be provided as per company policies.
