The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has initiated the application process for the BSSC CGL 4 and Office Attendant Recruitment for the year 2025. A total of 5208 positions are available across these roles, with 1481 vacancies in six state departments through the Bihar CGL and 3727 openings for Office Attendant.


Originally set to commence on August 18, the online application for Bihar CGL was delayed and has now officially started on August 25. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the BSSC portal. The deadline for submitting applications for both recruitment processes is September 25.


Revised Application Fee

The Bihar Staff Selection Commission has updated the notification regarding the CGL and Office Attendant recruitments, reducing the application fee to Rs 100 for all applicants. Previously, the fee was Rs 540 for male candidates from the general, backward, and extremely backward classes, while SC/ST, Divyang, and all women from Bihar were required to pay Rs 135.


Key Details About Bihar Office Attendant Recruitment 2025

1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed at least 10th grade.


2. Age Criteria: The age range for applicants is 18 to 37 years. Women from the unreserved category, backward class, and extremely backward class are eligible for a one-year age relaxation. SC and ST candidates will also receive a one-year relaxation.


3. Selection Method: Candidates will be chosen based on their performance in the preliminary and main examinations.


4. Preliminary Exam Format: The preliminary exam will consist of 100 objective-type questions, lasting two hours, with a penalty of one mark for incorrect answers.


5. Minimum Qualifying Marks: The qualifying marks are set at 40% for the unreserved category, 36.5% for backward class, 34% for extremely backward class, and 32% for SC/ST, women, and Divyang candidates.


Important Aspects of Bihar CGL 4 Recruitment

1. Eligibility and Age Limit: Candidates must hold a graduate degree in relevant subjects. The age limit is set between 21 and 37 years, with reserved category candidates eligible for age relaxation.


2. Selection Process: Similar to the Office Attendant recruitment, candidates will be selected through preliminary and main examinations.


3. Preliminary Exam Structure: The preliminary exam will feature objective-type questions covering general studies, general science, mathematics, and mental ability, totaling 150 questions. The duration will be 2 hours and 15 minutes, with a penalty for incorrect answers.


4. Allowed Materials for Preliminary Exam: Candidates are permitted to bring one book per section to the CGL preliminary exam, with only NCERT/Bihar Board/ICSE and other board textbooks being acceptable.


5. Qualifying Marks for Prelims and Mains: The qualifying marks remain the same as previously mentioned.
