Significant Increase in TRE-4 Vacancies: Candidates preparing for teacher recruitment in Bihar have received important news. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced an increase in the number of vacancies for the TRE-4.0 teacher recruitment examination. The latest update reveals that 932 additional positions have been added to the recruitment initiative, bringing the total to 33,320 posts available under TRE-4.0.
The new vacancies consist of 493 positions for secondary school teachers and 439 for higher secondary school teachers, totaling 932 posts across both educational levels.
Initial Vacancy Count for TRE-4:
Previously, the Commission had released a recruitment advertisement on September 22, 2026, for 32,388 posts under TRE-4.0. The number of vacancies was later revised to include supplementary requisitions from the General Administration Department (GAD).

According to the updated information from BPSC, the additional vacancies are designated for teachers of Classes 9–10 and Classes 11–12.

493 additional posts for Classes 9–10
Under the revised requisition, 493 new posts have been allocated for Classes 9–10 in secondary schools.
These positions include roles for special school teachers as well as general school teachers for secondary education. The roles cover various subjects and include special education positions for students with disabilities, such as those who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, or speech impaired. Additionally, there are posts for subjects like music.
Increase of 439 posts for Classes 11–12
Furthermore, 439 new posts have been established for Classes 11 and 12 in higher secondary schools. These positions primarily focus on language and literature subjects, including Bhojpuri, Maithili, Magahi, Prakrit, Pali, Bangla, Arabic, and Persian. This indicates that a considerable number of the new vacancies pertain to regional, classical, and minority languages.
