BPSSC Police SI Vacancy: The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 78 Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) positions within the Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department of the Bihar Government. Interested candidates can submit their applications online starting from January 27, 2026, with the application deadline set for February 27, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
Candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognized institution. Additionally, any examination deemed equivalent to a graduate degree by the state government as of August 1, 2025, will also qualify.
Regarding age relaxation, state government employees with at least three years of regular service will receive a five-year extension on the upper age limit. Ex-servicemen will be granted a three-year relaxation in addition to their service duration, provided they do not exceed the maximum age of 57 years on the cut-off date.

All applicants (male, female, and third gender) are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. This fee must be paid online via net banking, credit/debit card, or UPI. No extra charges will be applied, but candidates will be responsible for any bank transaction fees.
Selection Process Overview
The selection will involve five stages: an initial preliminary written examination (objective type), followed by a main written examination (also objective). Candidates who pass the written tests will then undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which is qualifying. This will be succeeded by document verification and a medical examination.
