BPSSC SI Recruitment 2025: Following the recruitment of constables, the Bihar Police is set to initiate a significant hiring process for sub-inspectors. The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has received a request to fill 1,799 vacant SI roles. This announcement was made by Kiran Kumar, the Special Officer of the commission, who indicated that the recruitment advertisement will be published shortly.

Currently, the BPSSC is also in the process of recruiting for 33 Enforcement Sub-Inspector positions within the Transport Department and 28 Sub-Inspector roles in the Prohibition Department.

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Police Recruitment 2025

Educational Requirement: A graduation degree in any discipline is necessary.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 37 years old, with age relaxation applicable for candidates from reserved categories.

Height Requirements:
For men from unreserved and backward classes - 165 cm
For men from extremely backward classes, SC, and ST categories - 160 cm
For women across all categories - 155 cm with a minimum weight of 48 kg.
Chest Measurements for Men:
Unreserved, backward, and extremely backward classes - 81 cm without inflation and 86 cm after inflation, with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
SC and ST categories - 79 cm without inflation and 84 cm after inflation, also requiring a minimum expansion of 5 cm.

Selection Process:
1. Preliminary written examination
2. Main written examination
3. Physical test
The final merit list will be determined based on the scores from the main examination, with the physical test being a mandatory requirement.
