Exciting Recruitment News for Ex-Servicemen in Bihar

A significant opportunity has arisen for ex-servicemen and retired paramilitary personnel looking for jobs in Bihar. The Bihar Police has launched a recruitment initiative for 15,821 positions within the Special Armed Police (SAP). Notably, this is the first time that retired members from central paramilitary forces, including the CRPF, BSF, and ITBP, are eligible to apply. This initiative is seen as a crucial advancement in enhancing the security framework of Bihar and aiding the reintegration of former military and paramilitary members into the workforce.

Historic Inclusion of Paramilitary Forces

In a groundbreaking move, the Bihar government has made a pivotal decision regarding SAP personnel recruitment. Previously, only ex-servicemen from the Indian Army were considered for these roles; however, this recruitment round opens doors for retired personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). This means that individuals from forces like the CRPF, BSF, and ITBP can now join the Bihar Police's SAP unit.

Application Guidelines for Interested Candidates

Ex-servicemen and retired paramilitary personnel interested in applying must bring their original documents to the Army Employment Welfare Organization (AREO) office located at Danapur Cantonment on the specified dates. The recruitment process will be conducted transparently, with physical proficiency tests and document verification as the main selection criteria.
