The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has initiated the online application procedure for Special Teacher positions. This recruitment is facilitated through the Bihar Special School Teacher Eligibility Test (BSSTET), aimed at assisting candidates who previously faced challenges in qualifying as teachers due to outdated regulations. Now, individuals holding either a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. can apply. Let’s break down the eligibility criteria, application timeline, and steps to apply.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying must meet specific qualifications. Priority will be given to permanent residents of Bihar. Applicants should possess a D.El.Ed, B.Ed, or an equivalent recognized teacher training qualification. Additionally, passing a Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) such as CTET or BTET is mandatory.

Age Requirements

The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 37 years. However, candidates from SC, ST, OBC, women, and those with disabilities will receive age relaxation in accordance with government policies.

The application fee varies based on the candidate's category. For General, OBC, and EWS applicants, the fee is ₹960.
