The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board has announced this opportunity, which is expected to enhance the healthcare infrastructure in the state. This initiative is crucial in addressing the shortage of medical professionals in various hospitals and medical colleges across Bihar.

The application process is currently open, and candidates interested in these positions can submit their applications through the official website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The deadline for online applications is set for February 2, 2026. Aspiring doctors looking to establish a career in the government sector are encouraged to apply promptly. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹65,000, with no additional allowances.

Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for the Junior Resident role, applicants must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized institution and be Indian citizens. The age limits are as follows: 37 years for the General category, 40 years for female candidates in the General category, and 40 years for Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes. SC/ST candidates have a maximum age limit of 42 years, while candidates with disabilities can receive up to 10 years of age relaxation.

The age of candidates will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. Following the application process, the Health Department will compile a merit list, and those shortlisted will be invited for interviews. A fee of ₹2,250 is applicable for all applicants.
