Salary and Eligibility Criteria

Junior Residents in Bihar will receive a monthly salary of Rs. 65,000. However, no additional allowances or pension funds will be provided. To be eligible, candidates must hold an MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India or the National Medical Commission. It is important to note that current employees of the Bihar Health Service Cadre cannot apply for these positions.


Age Limit

The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 37 years as of August 1, 2025. Relaxations in the upper age limit are available for women and candidates from reserved categories. The age limits are as follows: 37 years for Unreserved (Male), 40 years for Unreserved (Female), 40 years for Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes (both genders), and 42 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (both genders). Additionally, disabled candidates may receive an age relaxation of up to 10 years.
