Eligibility criteria stipulate that applicants must hold a degree from a recognized university. Acceptable fields of study include Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Zoology, Forestry, Agriculture, or Engineering.


Candidates must be at least 21 years old to apply. The upper age limit is set at 37 years for men in the general category, while it is 40 years for OBC, EBC, and women, and 42 years for SC/ST candidates.


The selection process includes a physical test, requiring male candidates to walk 25 km in 4 hours and female candidates to cover 14 km in the same time frame.
