Bihar CGL Exam 2025 Application Update
The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced an extension for the application deadline for the Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (CGL 2025). Candidates now have until October 16, 2025, to submit their applications, a change from the previous deadline of September 26.
Additionally, the deadline for paying the examination fee has also been pushed back. Candidates can now pay their fees until October 14, which was originally set for September 24. This extension aims to benefit all applicants.
This recruitment initiative will fill 1,481 vacancies across various Bihar government departments, with 510 positions specifically reserved for women. The Animal and Fisheries Resources Department has the largest number of openings, totaling 1,138, while the Building Construction Department will fill 500 positions.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for these roles, candidates must have completed at least the 10th grade. The age range for applicants is between 18 and 37 years, with women and candidates from Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class backgrounds receiving a 3-year age relaxation. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for a 5-year relaxation. Age eligibility will be determined as of August 1, 2025.
Selection Procedure
The selection will occur in two phases: a preliminary examination followed by a main examination. Only those who pass the preliminary exam will be allowed to take the main exam. A final merit list will be created after this process.
Application Fee
The application fee is fixed at ₹100 for all candidates, regardless of gender, disability status, or residency in Bihar.
