Eligibility Criteria for Teachers
Qualifications Required:
To be eligible for the PGT positions, candidates must possess a Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution. For TGT roles, a graduation degree along with a B.Ed. is necessary. PRT applicants should have a Graduation degree with either a B.El.Ed or a two-year D.El.Ed. Additionally, candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% in their degree and B.Ed. CTET or State TET qualification is mandatory, with a minimum of 60% (90 marks) required for CTET.
Additional Requirements
Applicants must also hold an AWES Online Screening Test (OST) scorecard, which remains valid for life if issued before December 26, 2025. A minimum cut-off percentage of 65% is required to apply.
Age Limit and Experience
Age Criteria:
Candidates under 40 years of age as of April 1, 2026, are eligible to apply without prior experience. Those aged between 40 and 55 years must have at least 5 years of teaching experience.
