Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification and Age Limit
To qualify for the BARC Scientific Officer recruitment in 2026, candidates must hold a BE, B.Tech, B.Sc. (Engineering), MSc, or Integrated MSc degree from a recognized institution, with a minimum of 60% marks.
The age limit is set at a maximum of 26 years for general candidates, 29 years for OBC candidates, and 31 years for SC/ST candidates, calculated as of August 1, 2026.

DGFS (DAE Graduate Fellowship Scheme) is a two-year program where candidates pursue M.Tech degrees from selected institutions, with the Department of Atomic Energy covering tuition fees and providing a monthly fellowship. After earning their M.Tech, candidates will be appointed as Scientific Officers in DAE units.
