Selection Process
**Selection Methodology**
The selection process begins with a written examination that assesses General Knowledge, English, Mathematics, Reasoning, and military-related topics. A GATE score is essential for Ground Duty (Technical) positions. Candidates with an NCC 'C' certificate receive special considerations for the Flying Branch.
Following the written exam, candidates will undergo an interview at the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB), which includes mental ability tests, group tasks, and personal interviews. A Pilot Aptitude Test is also part of the process for the Flying Branch. After these stages, a medical examination is conducted, and final selections are made based on merit.
