Tripura Expands Medical Education with New MBBS Seats

Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha has announced the approval of 50 new MBBS seats at the Tripura Medical College, raising the total to 450 across the state. This significant increase reflects the government's commitment to improving medical education and healthcare facilities. Over the past three years, Tripura has added 225 MBBS seats, showcasing a strong focus on enhancing the health sector. Tripura's Medical Education Growth



NMC Approval: On Tuesday, Chief Minister Manik Saha of Tripura revealed that the National Medical Commission (NMC) has sanctioned an additional 50 MBBS seats at the Tripura Medical College (TMC) and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Teaching Hospital located in Agartala.


Current Seat Availability: This new approval raises the total MBBS seats at TMC from 100 to 150, bringing the overall count of MBBS seats in the state to 450.
