Candidates aiming to become government teachers in Rajasthan have received good news. The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has announced a significant recruitment drive for teachers in the state. This initiative will fill a total of 7,123 positions for Primary School Teachers (Level-1) and Upper Primary School Teachers (Level-2). Application Process Timeline

Details of the Vacancies

The recruitment campaign will advertise positions at two levels:



  • Primary School Teachers (Level 1, Grades 1 to 5): 5,000 positions


  • Upper Primary School Teachers (Level 2, Grades 6 to 8): 2,123 positions



In total, 7,123 teachers will be appointed across various districts in the state. This recruitment is being conducted under both the General and Sanskrit Education Departments.


Tentative Exam Dates

According to the information provided by the board, the offline (OMR-based) examination for this recruitment will take place between January 17, 2026, and January 21, 2026, at various examination centers throughout the state.

Educational Qualifications Required

For Level 1 (Grades 1 to 5)


Candidates must possess at least 50% marks in their higher secondary or equivalent qualification. Additionally, they should have completed a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/BTC) and passed the REET (Level 1).


For Level 2 (Grades 6 to 8)


Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and a two-year diploma in elementary education or a B.Ed degree. Qualification in the relevant subject (Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies) is also necessary.


Age Limit

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not older than 40 years. The age will be calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per government rules.

  • General Category/OBC (Creamy Layer): ₹600


  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): ₹400


  • For Disabled Candidates: ₹400


  • Application fees must be paid online.
