NCERT Launches Free AI-Based Online Math Program for Students
Introduction to the AI Initiative
In response to the changing educational landscape, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing students' understanding of mathematics. This new program utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create an interactive online learning experience, making math more accessible and engaging for learners.
Program Details and Schedule
The AI-driven online training will take place from January 12 to 15, 2026, with live sessions scheduled daily from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The primary goal of this initiative is to bolster students' mathematical abilities and foster a more interactive learning environment. Recognizing that many students struggle with math, this program seeks to transform their approach and comprehension of the subject.
Where to Access the Program
Students can tune into the program via NCERT's official YouTube channel @NCERTOFFICIAL, as well as on PM e-Vidya channels. Additionally, broadcasts will be available on DD Free Dish and Jio TV, catering to students from grades 6 to 12. NCERT has actively promoted this initiative on social media, encouraging both students and educators to engage.
Learning Outcomes Over Four Days
The four-day program will cover distinct topics each day. On the first day, January 12, 2026, the focus will be on identifying common misconceptions and desired learning outcomes using AI tools.
On January 13, 2026, participants will learn how to develop diagnostic assessments to pinpoint learning gaps. The third day, January 14, 2026, will emphasize creating engaging visual content to aid conceptual understanding. Finally, on January 15, 2026, the program will explore differentiated instruction strategies tailored to meet diverse student needs. This initiative promises to be highly advantageous for both students and educators.
