MP SET 2025 Postponement Announcement

MP SET 2025 Delayed: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced the postponement of the MP State Eligibility Test (MP SET) 2025 due to unforeseen circumstances. Originally set for January 11, 2026, the exam has been canceled, with a new date to be revealed shortly.

In an official statement, the commission explained that this decision was made due to unavoidable circumstances. Importantly, all conditions outlined in the initial notification will remain intact, meaning there will be no alterations to eligibility criteria, age limits, vacancy information, or the total number of available positions.

Candidates who successfully pass the MP SET will be eligible to apply for Assistant Professor roles in universities and colleges across Madhya Pradesh.

The MP SET 2025 will be conducted in an offline format, comprising two papers. Paper 1 is mandatory for all candidates and assesses teaching and research aptitude, featuring 50 multiple-choice questions worth a total of 100 marks. Paper 2 will focus on the subject selected by the candidate, containing 100 questions for 200 marks. The entire exam will last for 3 hours.

To pass, candidates from the general category must achieve at least 40 percent, while those from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) categories need a minimum of 35 percent.

The online application window for MP SET 2025 closed on November 20, 2025. Candidates were permitted to make corrections to their applications from October 30 to November 22, 2025.

The MPPSC urges all registered candidates to frequently visit the official website for updates on the new exam date and warns against relying on unofficial sources for exam-related information.
