HP TET 2026 Application Process Begins

The registration for the November session of the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2026 is now open. The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education initiated the online application process on September 11. Interested candidates aiming to become teachers can apply through the board's official website, hpbose.org. This year's examination will cover nine categories: TGT Arts, TGT Medical, TGT Non-Medical, TGT Hindi, TGT Sanskrit, JBT, Punjabi, Urdu, and Special Educator TET. Applicants should confirm their category, applicable fees, and exam dates prior to submission.

Application Fee and Deadlines

**Deadline for Application Without Late Fee**

Candidates can submit their applications for HP TET 2026 without incurring a late fee until 11:59 PM on October 3, 2026. From October 4 to October 8, applicants will have the option to apply with an additional late fee of ₹600.

**Application Fees**

For the General category and its sub-categories, the application fee is ₹1,200. In contrast, OBC, SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates are required to pay ₹700.

Correction Window and Admit Card Release

Candidates will have the opportunity to make corrections to their applications from October 9 to October 12, 2026. However, changes to the category or sub-category must be done in person at the board office by submitting an application by October 15. Admit cards will be available four days before the exams.

Exam Schedule

**Examination Dates**

The HP TET 2026 exams are scheduled to take place from November 22 to December 6, 2026. The TGT Arts exam will occur on the morning of November 22, followed by the JBT exam in the afternoon. On November 29, the TGT Non-Medical and Special Educator TGT (Classes 6 to 12) exams will be conducted in the first shift, while TGT Sanskrit and Special Educator TGT (Pre-primary to Class 5) will be held in the second shift. The exams for TGT Medical, Punjabi, and Urdu will take place on the morning of December 6, with the TGT Hindi exam scheduled for the afternoon. All papers will be conducted from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Candidates are encouraged to verify their specific exam dates and shifts.
