Final Call for CBSE 10th and 12th Private Student Registrations

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is closing the registration for private students in classes 10 and 12 today, September 30, 2025. Students can still apply with a late fee until October 11, 2025. The registration process began on September 9, and fees vary based on the number of subjects. Eligibility includes students who failed previous board exams from 2020 to 2025. Private students will take their exams alongside regular students. CBSE Registration Deadline Approaches



Important Notice for Private Students: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to conclude the registration for private candidates in classes 10 and 12 today, September 30, 2025. Students who have not yet registered can still submit their applications with a late fee until October 11, 2025.


The registration process commenced on September 9, and students can complete their applications online by visiting the official CBSE website, www.cbse.nic.in.


Fee Structure:


For those wishing to register for a single subject, the fee is ₹320. Each additional subject also incurs a fee of ₹320. For practical examinations, 12th-grade students must pay ₹160 per practical. Those who miss the September 30 deadline can still apply from October 3 to October 11, 2025, but will incur an additional late fee of ₹2,000.


The exam center will be assigned based on the selection made during the online registration.


Eligibility Criteria:


CBSE has specified that all applications and fee payments must be completed online. Late applications will not be accepted after the deadline. Students who did not pass their board exams in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply for the 2026 examinations.


Additionally, students who received compartment marks in either the main or supplementary exams can also register. Those who failed in 2024-25 or were required to repeat exams are also eligible.


Exam Schedule:


Private students will take their exams concurrently with regular students. In schools affiliated with CBSE, private candidates will participate in the same examinations as their regular counterparts in grades 10 and 12.
