CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation Process for 2026: What Students Need to Know
Overview of CBSE Re-evaluation 2026
After the announcement of the CBSE Class 12 Board Examination results for 2026, numerous students are feeling anxious about their scores. Many believe their marks do not reflect their performance, prompting them to request a re-evaluation of their answer sheets. As a result, a large number of students have sought access to scanned copies of their answer sheets and are looking to verify their scores.
Portal Maintenance and Student Concerns
The Board had indicated that the re-evaluation and verification process would start on June 1st. However, the CBSE portal was under maintenance throughout the day, which increased anxiety among students and their families. In response, CBSE has assured that the portal will be operational soon and advised students to disregard any circulating rumors.
CBSE's Official Communication
In a recent update shared on the social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter), CBSE announced that the verification and re-evaluation portal would be available shortly. The Board mentioned that an official notification regarding this matter would follow soon. They are currently finalizing technical aspects related to the payment gateway on the portal. Once these preparations are complete, the application process will be opened for students.
Reasons Behind the Delay
Reports suggest that CBSE is taking extra precautions to prevent technical issues this time. Recently, many students have accessed services related to their answer sheets, which has put a considerable strain on the portal. The Board aims to ensure a smooth operation of the website before launching the application process, so students do not face any challenges with payments or submissions. This is why final technical checks are currently underway.
Eligibility for Re-evaluation
Students who are unhappy with their scores can first download their scanned answer sheets. They should verify if all answers have been assessed and if the total marks are accurate. If any answers seem unmarked or if there are discrepancies in the awarded marks, students can apply for verification and re-evaluation. However, CBSE has clarified that after re-evaluation, marks may increase, decrease, or remain the same, and the final marks will be conclusive.
Steps to Apply for Re-evaluation
