West Bengal Police has released a notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector, Sub-Inspectress, and Sergeant vacancies. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can read the details in the notification and apply online. Below are some important details:

Application Fee:

  • For All Categories (WB Candidates): Rs. 270/- (Application fee: Rs. 250/- + Processing fee: Rs. 20/-)
  • For SC/ST candidates: Rs. 20/- (Application fee – NIL + Processing fee: Rs. 20/-)
  • Payment Mode (Online): Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking
  • No exemption of fees is available for SC/ST candidates of other states.

Important Dates:

  • Starting Date for Apply Online & Payment of fee: 01-09-2023 (00:01 hrs)
  • Last Date for Apply Online: 21-09-2023 (till 23:59 hrs)
  • Correction of Editing Window: 24-09-2023 (00:01 hrs) to 30-09-2023 (till 23:59 hrs)
  • Date of Examination: 28-01-2024
  • Date of Admit Card: 18-01-2024

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2023):

  • Minimum Age Limit: 20 Years
  • Maximum Age Limit: 27 Years
  • Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Eligibility Details:

  • Sub-Inspector of Police: Height, Weight, and Chest criteria specified for different categories.
  • Sub Inspectress: Height and Weight criteria specified for different categories.
  • Sergeant: Height, Weight, and Chest criteria specified for different categories.
  • Educational Qualification: Any Bachelor’s Degree Examination in any discipline.

Vacancy Details:

  1. Sub-Inspector of Kolkata Police (Unarmed Branch): 212
  2. Sub Inspectress of Kolkata Police (Unarmed Branch): 27
  3. Sub-Inspector of Kolkata Police (Armed Branch) (Applicable for Male applicants only): 34
  4. Sergeant in Kolkata Police (Applicable for Male applicants only): 36

Qualification: Candidates should possess Any Bachelor’s Degree Examination in any discipline.
