UP TET 2026 Online Form Application: The application process for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) has officially begun. The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has activated the online application link on its official website, upessc.up.gov.in. Candidates interested in taking the UP TET exam are encouraged to apply. It is crucial for applicants to minimize errors during the application process.


Eligibility Criteria for UP TET

Who Can Apply for UP TET?
The UP TET is conducted in two levels, each with specific eligibility requirements for candidates aiming to teach different grades.


Primary Level (Classes 1–5): Candidates must possess a Graduation degree from a recognized university and have completed a two-year D.El.Ed (BTC) program from an institution approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), or be in the final year of such a program. Alternatively, candidates may have completed a two-year D.Ed/D.El.Ed (Special Education) program post-graduation, or hold an Intermediate (10+2) qualification with at least 50% marks, along with a four-year B.El.Ed degree. Those in the final year of their respective programs are also eligible.


Junior Level (Classes 6–8): Candidates must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a minimum of 50% marks and have completed a B.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education) examination, or be in the final year of such a program. Alternatively, candidates may hold a Bachelor's/Master's degree along with a two-year BTC qualification, or have completed a four-year B.El.Ed course after their 12th-grade education. Candidates who have passed the 10+2 Intermediate examination with at least 50% marks and have completed a B.Sc.Ed program are also eligible. Additionally, candidates with a Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 45% marks, along with a Master's degree and a B.Ed qualification, can apply. Steps to Fill the UP TET Application Form

How to Complete the UP TET Application:
To apply for the UP TET, candidates should first visit the UPESSC portal. Navigate to the 'New Candidate' section to generate an OTR ID.


Prepare your Aadhaar Card, Class 10th marksheet, and a recent photograph. Enter your name, parents' names, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar details, and email ID, then verify the information.


Capture a clear live photograph, as this will be used on your admit card. Create a password, set a security question, enter the captcha code, and submit. Fill in personal details such as nationality, marital status, and category. If applicable, provide details regarding OBC, SC, or ST certificates, then click 'Save & Next'.


Provide your address, Class 10th marks, roll number, year of passing, and subjects. Repeat this for Class 12th and Graduation details. Include information about your siblings. Under 'Upload Documents', scan and upload your passport-sized photograph and signature.


Upload all necessary documents, including your Photo ID, Class 10th and 12th marksheets, Graduation marksheet, handwritten declaration, training certificate, and category certificate. Click 'Complete OTR Profile'.


Your OTR profile will be finalized, and an 'Examinations' option will appear. Click on 'Apply Now' for UPTET 2026.


Select either Paper-1, Paper-2, or 'Both', and choose your subject group. If you are a current government teacher, select 'Yes'; otherwise, select 'No'. After verifying eligibility, upload the final marksheet or degree certificate for your B.Ed. (or equivalent qualification) in PDF format. Review the application preview and proceed to 'Confirm & Proceed to Payment'. Note that no changes can be made after final submission. Pay the application fee based on your category.
