UP Board Exams 2026: Enhanced Surveillance and Monitoring Measures
Final Preparations for UP Board Exams 2026
The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is in the final stages of preparation for the upcoming UP Board High School and Intermediate Examinations 2026. The board is committed to conducting these exams in a fair, transparent, and malpractice-free environment. The Class 10 and Class 12 examinations are set to begin on February 18, 2026, throughout the state.
Comprehensive Monitoring System
To enhance oversight and deter cheating, UPMSP has initiated a connection between examination centres and dedicated control rooms at the district level. Additionally, central supervision will be conducted from Lucknow and Meerut, establishing one of the most extensive monitoring frameworks for UP Board exams.
Surveillance Measures for Exams
The board has emphasized its commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process. Both written and Intermediate practical examinations will now be conducted under CCTV surveillance. District administrations are actively linking all examination centres to control rooms equipped with advanced monitoring technology.
Trial Run in Agra
A successful trial run of this monitoring system was conducted in Agra district, where real-time monitoring of exam centres was tested to assess readiness and technical reliability.
Control Room Established in Agra
In Agra, a fully operational control room has been set up at the Government Inter College. During the trial phase, all examination centres in the district were connected to this control room. Monitoring will occur not only locally but also through control rooms located in Lucknow and Meerut.
Practical Exams Under Surveillance
The state government has mandated that practical examinations must be monitored via CCTV cameras. The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) office is actively implementing these directives. According to DIOS Chandrashekhar, six computer systems have been installed in the control room, and preliminary testing has been completed.
Muzaffarnagar's Control Room Setup
In Muzaffarnagar, the DIOS office has been transformed into a central control room for board examinations. All 72 examination centres in the district are now connected through CCTV surveillance, ensuring a robust monitoring process.
Enhanced Security with Voice Recorders
To further bolster security, UPMSP has integrated voice recording systems alongside CCTV cameras at all examination centres. This initiative aims to prevent both visual and verbal irregularities during the exams.
Exam Schedule Overview
The UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 examinations will commence on February 18, 2026. Prior to the main exams, Intermediate practical examinations will take place in January, also under surveillance, reflecting the board's commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against unfair practices.
Commitment to Fairness
With a large number of students participating in the UP Board exams annually, ensuring fairness and transparency is a significant challenge. The enhanced monitoring system—featuring district-level control rooms, state-level oversight, CCTV surveillance, and voice recording—demonstrates the board's dedication to conducting secure and efficient examinations.
