Overview of UP Board Exams

The UP Board examinations are set to commence on February 18th, with extensive preparations being implemented to ensure a smooth process.

Key Meeting Held for Exam Preparations

A significant meeting took place on Thursday at IIM-T College located in Knowledge Park, Greater Noida, focusing on the upcoming Class 10 and 12 exams. The meeting was led by District Magistrate Medha Rupam, attended by various police and administrative officials.

Participants included center administrators, static magistrates, sector magistrates, and zonal magistrates from 60 examination centers across the district. Clear directives were issued to guarantee that the exams are conducted in a peaceful and fair manner.

Security Measures for Examination Centers

24/7 Monitoring of Strong Rooms

The District Magistrate emphasized the establishment of secure strong rooms at all examination centers, where question papers and answer sheets will be securely stored. These rooms will be under constant surveillance via CCTV.

Officials were warned that any negligence would not be tolerated, and all personnel involved in the examination must report for duty punctually. Any delays or absences will be taken seriously.

Double Locking System Implementation

During the meeting, special attention was given to the arrangement of four double-locked cabinets within the strong rooms. The procedures for opening and closing these cabinets must strictly adhere to established protocols.

On exam day, the center administrator, co-center administrator, and static magistrate must be present before the question paper envelope is opened. No envelope will be accessed without their presence, and key management will follow the rules.

Facilities and Security at Exam Centers

Ensuring Student Comfort

DM Medha Rupam instructed that cleanliness around the examination centers be prioritized to ensure students face no inconveniences. Responsibilities for providing drinking water, first aid, and clean toilets were assigned to each center.

Additionally, police were tasked with maintaining order outside the examination centers to prevent crowding or disturbances. An extra police presence will be deployed if necessary.

Participation and Transparency in Exams

Student Participation

District School Inspector Rajesh Kumar Singh reported that around 42,917 students from the district are expected to take part in the UP Board Examination 2026, including those in grades 10 and 12.

A total of 60 examination centers have been established, with preparations nearly complete, including security for question papers, seating arrangements, and supervision.

Commitment to Fairness
