SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Date 2025 Released: The results for the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam 2025 have been published, and a significant update is now available for those who passed. The Staff Selection Commission has confirmed the date for the CGL Tier 2 exam, which is set to take place in less than a month. The schedule for the CGL Tier 2 exam can be found on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in. The written test is planned for January 18, 2026, followed by the skill test on January 19, 2026.

Preparation Time for Candidates

CGL Tier 2 Exam on January 18
With the exam date approaching, candidates have less than a month to prepare for the CGL Tier 2 exam. Approximately 138,000 candidates are expected to participate. Based on the Tier 1 results, 6,196 candidates have been selected for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) position, 2,781 for the Statistical Investigator Grade-2 role, and 130,418 candidates for various other positions in the CGL recruitment process.

Exam Pattern for CGL Tier 2

CGL Tier 2 Exam Structure 2025:
The Tier 2 exam will comprise two papers. Paper-I will include 60 questions on Mathematical Abilities, 70 on Reasoning and General Intelligence in Section-I, 70 questions on English Language and Comprehension and General Awareness in Section-II, and 20 questions on Computer Knowledge Test in Section-III. Section IV will feature the Data Entry Speed Test. Paper 2 will consist of 100 questions focused on Statistics. All these assessments are scheduled for January 18, 2026, while the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) will occur on January 19, 2026, serving as a qualifying test that candidates must pass.

Candidates can anticipate the release of their admit cards for the CGL Tier 2 exam. It is expected that the admit cards will be available in the second week of January. The SSC will provide all relevant details on its official website. Once the link for downloading the admit card is active, candidates can access it using their registration number and password. In the meantime, candidates should continue their exam preparations by taking mock tests and concentrating on areas where they need improvement.
