CBSE Private Students Registration 2025
Overview: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up for the upcoming 10th and 12th board examinations. Following the initiation of the List of Candidates (LOC) registration for regular students, the board is set to commence the registration process for private candidates in classes 10 and 12.
The registration window for private students will open on September 9 and will close on September 30. Interested candidates can complete their registration by visiting the official CBSE website. The online form can be filled out at www.cbse.nic.in. The board has released specific guidelines for this process, and students are required to pay a fee of Rs 1600 for five subjects by the registration deadline.
Fee Structure:
For those wishing to register for a single subject, a fee of Rs 320 is applicable. Additionally, for each extra subject, a fee of Rs 320 will also be charged. Students in the 12th grade must pay Rs 160 per practical for practical exams. If any private student misses the September 30 deadline, they can still register with a late fee from October 3 to October 11, incurring an additional charge of Rs 2000.
The exam center will be assigned based on the selections made during the online registration process.
Eligibility for Registration:
CBSE has specified that all applications and fee payments must be conducted online. No applications will be accepted after the deadline. Students who did not pass their board exams in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply for the 2026 examinations.
Additionally, students who received a compartment in either the main or supplementary exams can also register. Those who failed in the 2024-25 academic year or were categorized as essential repeat candidates are also permitted to apply.
