Practical Examination Schedule Released

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has unveiled the timetable for practical examinations for students in grades 8, 10, and 12. Schools are required to securely archive video recordings and facilitate exams through online platforms.

The practical exams are scheduled to take place from February 2nd to February 12th, 2026, as per the official communication from the board.

Video Recordings to be Maintained

This year's practical assessments will cater to regular students, as well as those from open schools, compartment candidates, re-appear students, and those taking additional subjects. A notable change has been introduced: starting from the 2025-26 academic year, external examiners will oversee the Computer Science practical exams for class 12. These assessments will occur at the students' designated centers, with question papers distributed via online links. Conversely, the Computer Science practical for class 10 will be conducted at the school level, where examiners must securely store brief video recordings of the exams for potential submission to the board.

Appointment of External Examiners

For core subjects in class 12, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy-II, Fundamentals of E-Business, Home Science, and Computer Applications, the board will appoint external examiners. The District Education Officers will rotate computer lecturers and teachers from both government and private institutions to various schools. Practical exams for other subjects will be held at the school level, utilizing question papers crafted by the respective subject educators. The board has directed Group District Education Officers (Secondary), Group District Managers (Regional Offices), and Group School Heads throughout Punjab to ensure compliance with these guidelines.
