Students across the state, including those in the district, can look forward to a significant opportunity as the application window for the Post Matric Scholarship for the academic year 2024-25 is set to open on August 25. This scholarship will be available for students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and Extremely Backward Classes. The deadline for submitting applications is September 25. The Education Department has released an official notification outlining the application process and guidelines for students and educational institutions.
As per the announcement, applications will be accepted under various schemes, including the Scheduled Caste Post Admission Scholarship Scheme, the Scheduled Tribe Post Admission Scholarship Scheme, and the Chief Minister's initiatives for these categories as well as for the Backward and Extremely Backward Classes. Applications must be submitted online, with dedicated portals established for different student categories. Students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes can apply at https://scstpmsonline.bihar.gov.in, while those from Backward and Extremely Backward Classes should use https://pmsonline.bihar.gov.in. Educational institutions are tasked with verifying applications through the portal at https://instpmsonline.bihar.gov.in.
Financial Assistance for Thousands of Students
The Education Department has emphasized the importance of timely processing of applications. Once submitted, applications will undergo verification at the institutional level. Any delays in processing without valid reasons will be the responsibility of the respective institution. Students are encouraged to ensure that their applications are complete with all necessary documents, including an Aadhar card, bank account details, and an income certificate. The department has made it clear that late submissions or incomplete applications will not be considered.
