The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the Revised Final Answer Key for the UGC NET December 2025 examination. This update comes after the initial Final Answer Key, published on April 3, failed to include all subjects.

Background of the Revision

This revision is crucial for the numerous candidates who took the UGC NET December 2025 exam. The NTA's previous Final Answer Key faced criticism for not addressing all subjects, prompting many students to report discrepancies. Following complaints and a directive from the Delhi High Court, the NTA undertook a re-evaluation and has now issued a new Revised Final Answer Key. Notably, adjustments have been made in the History and Commerce subjects, raising hopes among students for a more precise evaluation. Candidates will soon have access to their updated results.

Reasons for the Revised Answer Key

The necessity for a revised answer key arose due to the initial version covering only a limited range of subjects. Additionally, numerous candidates pointed out inaccuracies in the answers provided. A petition filed by a student in the Delhi High Court led to the Court instructing the NTA to reassess these questions. In response, the NTA has reviewed all objections and released the updated answer key.

Subjects with Significant Changes

The History subject experienced the most substantial alterations, with four questions being entirely removed and two correct answers now recognized for three questions. Given that over 60,000 candidates participated in this subject, these modifications are likely to affect a significant number of students. The Commerce paper also saw some changes, including the removal of three questions and the validation of two correct answers for one question. This examination took place on January 3rd during the first shift.

Subjects with No Changes

The NTA has confirmed that no changes were made to the answer keys for certain subjects, including Economics, Education, and Hindi. The answers for these subjects will remain as previously published.
