The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made available the scanned OMR answer sheets and recorded responses for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG-2026). This opportunity is time-sensitive, allowing candidates who are not satisfied with their results to submit an online challenge.


Accessing the OMR Sheets

Candidates can view their scanned OMR answer sheets and recorded responses on the official NTA website, https://neet.nta.nic.in/. Additionally, a scanned copy has been dispatched to the registered email addresses provided during the registration process. To access these documents, candidates must log in using their credentials. An OTP-based two-factor authentication has been implemented for enhanced security.


Objection Filing Deadline

Candidates are permitted to file online objections concerning the recorded responses. A non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 is required for each challenge. The objection filing process commenced on July 13, 2026, and will remain open until July 15, 2026. Payments can be made through debit cards, credit cards, or net banking. No challenges will be accepted after the deadline or without the requisite fee.


The NTA has specified that this facility is solely for contesting recorded OMR responses. The window for challenging the answer key has already closed, and no further objections regarding it will be entertained.


Details of the NEET UG Re-examination

The NEET (UG)-2026 re-examination was conducted by the NTA on June 21, 2026, from 02:00 PM to 05:15 PM. The initial NEET UG exam took place on May 3, followed by the release of the provisional answer key on May 6; however, the exam was later canceled. Over 20 lakh candidates participated in the re-examination held on June 21.


Steps to Challenge OMR Responses

To submit a challenge regarding the OMR responses, candidates should follow these steps:


1. Visit the official NTA website (https://neet.nta.nic.in/).


2. Log in using your application number and password.


3. Verify your identity by entering the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and email.


4. Click on the "View/Challenge OMR Sheet & Recorded Responses" link.


5. Compare the scanned OMR sheet with the recorded responses.


6. If discrepancies are found, select the relevant question and submit your objection.


7. Pay the processing fee of ₹200 for each objection online.


8. If the objection is validated, the processing fee will be refunded.


9. After payment, click on "Submit Challenge" and download the confirmation page for your records.
