NTA Launches Reporting Portal Ahead of NEET UG Re-Examination
Introduction to the Reporting Portal
As the NEET UG re-examination approaches, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced a new portal designed to assist students and the public in reporting any suspicious activities. This initiative comes in response to the circulation of fake question papers on social media, ensuring a fair examination process set for June 21. The re-exam follows the cancellation of the original NEET UG exam due to controversies surrounding paper leaks on May 3.
Purpose of the Reporting Portal
The newly launched platform allows candidates to report dubious websites, social media posts, and individuals falsely claiming to possess exam materials. The NTA has cautioned students against falling victim to misinformation and scams, emphasizing that no one has prior access to the exam questions. They stated, "Do not let rumors define your NEET UG 2026 journey."
Reporting Details
The reporting facility will be accessible via the MyGov portal from June 14 to June 30, 2026. Candidates can log in to submit complaints regarding suspicious activities related to the examination process.
What can be reported?
1. Websites or social media accounts claiming to have access to NEET UG 2026 question papers or answer keys.
2. Individuals asserting they have confidential exam materials or offering leaked question papers.
3. Cases of impersonation involving NTA officials, government representatives, or exam center personnel.
Legislative Framework
This reporting portal is established under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, which aims to combat examination-related malpractice and ensure the integrity of public examinations. Candidates who encounter suspicious claims are encouraged to register or log in to provide detailed information.
Official Guidance
Advice Against Believing Fake Claims
The NTA has urged candidates to depend solely on official sources for exam updates. Students should follow the official NEET and NTA websites and steer clear of unofficial channels that may disseminate false information.
