NTA Extends Deadline for NEET UG Fee Refund Bank Detail Updates
Important Update for NEET UG Candidates
Candidates waiting for their NEET UG fee refunds have received positive news. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has prolonged the deadline for updating bank account information.
If you took the NEET UG exam and are expecting a refund, you can now update or verify your bank account details until 11:50 PM on July 7, 2026.
This extension aims to assist students who were unable to provide accurate bank details on time or made mistakes while entering their information. The NTA emphasizes that no eligible candidate should face delays in their fee refund due to minor errors.
As per the notice from the agency, the refund portal will remain accessible until July 7. During this time, candidates can check their bank details and make any necessary corrections.
Steps for Updating Bank Details
Two-Step Verification Required
To modify bank details, candidates must log into the registration portal and complete a two-factor authentication process. Only after this can they make changes to their bank account information.
Option to Upload Cancelled Cheque
Candidates also have the option to upload a cancelled cheque to confirm their bank account. This step helps verify bank details and reduces potential issues during the refund process.
Verify Information Before Submission
The NTA has stated that once the authentication is completed and bank details are submitted, that information will be deemed final. Therefore, candidates should meticulously check details such as account number, IFSC code, account holder’s name, and other relevant information before submission. Even a small mistake could delay the refund.
