NEET UG Counseling Round 2 Results Update: MCC Clarifies Seat Allocation Status
NEET UG Counseling Round 2 Update
NEET UG Counseling Round 2: Today, at approximately 4:30 PM, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) released a notice addressing issues related to the seat allocation results for the second round of counseling, leading to a postponement of the results. The initial seat allocation results were made public earlier today at 11:40 AM. Following this, the MCC has issued an additional notice.
Details from the Latest Notice
In a significant update late Thursday, the MCC confirmed that the final seat allocation results for the second counseling round will remain intact. The results announced on September 18, 2025, at 11:40 AM are confirmed to be unchanged, and the reporting process will continue as planned.
The MCC's notice stated, "Following the previous announcement made on 18.09.2025 at 4:30 PM, we clarify that the results declared on 18.09.2025 at 11:40 AM will not be altered. Candidates should download their allotment letters and report at the designated times."
Earlier Notice Issued Today
Earlier in the day, the MCC had temporarily retracted the final results of Round 2 due to an error where a government medical college mistakenly registered double the number of available seats. This led to the allocation of several non-existent seats to candidates, prompting a revision of the results and a halt in the reporting process.
However, the MCC has now clarified that the final results will not change. Candidates are encouraged to proceed with the reporting process confidently.
