Background on NEET UG Cancellation
NEET UG Cancelled Following Paper Leak
The NEET UG 2026 was held on May 3, with over 2.2 million candidates participating. However, a paper leak incident emerged on May 7, initially thought to involve a viral "guess paper" that contained 120 questions identical to those in the actual exam. As investigations unfolded, it became evident that this was a clear case of a paper leak, leading to arrests. Consequently, the NTA decided to cancel the NEET UG 2026 and has referred the investigation to the CBI.
