NEET UG 2026 Examination Faces Allegations of Paper Leak
Controversy Surrounding NEET UG 2026
A significant controversy has emerged regarding the NEET UG 2026 examination, raising concerns among students and parents. The Rajasthan Special Operations Group (SOG) has initiated an investigation following reports of a potential paper leak. Allegations suggest that a 'sample paper' was sold for substantial amounts, containing 140 questions that closely mirrored those in the actual exam.
Investigation into Sample Paper
Reports indicate that the National Testing Agency (NTA) received alerts from Rajasthan and Uttarakhand about a 'guess paper' being circulated among students before the exam. Investigations revealed that out of 300 questions in this paper, around 140 were found to be significantly similar to those in the NEET UG 2026 exam. The NTA has informed central investigative bodies and the Rajasthan Police about the situation.
Tracing the Sample Paper
The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and SOG are currently probing the matter. Investigations have traced the sample paper's journey from Kerala to Sikar, Rajasthan, suggesting a possible network involved in the distribution of the leaked material. Officials are working to identify all individuals connected to this case, and raids have been conducted at various locations. Some individuals reportedly claimed to have the 'actual exam paper' and sold it for large sums, although it remains uncertain if this was genuine or merely a guess paper based on previous exams.
NTA's Response
The NTA has clarified that the NEET UG 2026 examination was conducted with stringent security measures, including biometric verification, AI-enabled CCTV monitoring, and secure handling of question papers. The agency urges patience until the investigation concludes before making any judgments. They have already provided relevant information to the investigating agencies as of May 8 and will refrain from making premature decisions.
Concerns Over NEET Exam Integrity
This incident has reignited concerns regarding the transparency of the NEET examination, which is the largest medical entrance test in the country. Previous allegations of paper leaks and irregularities have diminished trust among students. Millions of aspirants are now awaiting the findings of the investigation, and if the allegations are confirmed, it could lead to a significant crisis affecting the future of countless students.
